I’m personally at a place where I feel really happy being naked and when I feel good being naked on my own, if I’m with somebody else naked, then I’m not feeling anxious or nervous about the way I look.

To be honest, I’m more focused on how awesome they look naked. I’m not saying that you have to love yourself. I’m just saying that you don’t have to hate yourself.

This is really hard, but try not to compare yourself to others. I find that it’s really destructive. Try to think of your body as a tool. What do you need it for? To eat and sleep and walk and dance.

And all of these things. Having a body is awesome. If you have one it means you’re human and you’re alive. Although animals have bodies, but you know what I mean. If you have a human body then you’re a human.

Think of all the wonderful things that you can do with your body and then focus on that. Also whilst we’re at it can we just stop making the word fat an insult?

And also don’t believe people when they say that they’re just concerned about their health.

Health is something so much more complicated than the amount of fat that you have. So much more complicated.

Just remember that whatever your body shape, whatever your body type, however you look, you deserve love and you deserve respect and you deserve kindness and vice versa.

Respect other people, love other people, be kind to other people.

Body image and self esteem, especially when you’re growing up, suck. You just feel crap about yourself all the time and you’re constantly comparing yourself to other people and it makes you feel worse and you wish you didn’t ’cause you know that you’d just feel better if you just focused on yourself, but you can’t help it. And it’s just one of those weird, vicious cycles. And we’ve all been there.
